Tessa McLaughlin of Canonbah Bridge won a highly commended young exporter of the year award at the 2006 NSW export awards. The awards were announced at a gala dinner held at the Sydney town hall on October 19.

Vintage started with the Semillon hand pick at 6am on the 10th
January and finished with the final Shiraz pick on the 3rd of
February. Unlike the previous years there was a 17 day gap between
the white and the red

The January 2005 harvest again resulted in tiny yields – in fact less than we
were expecting, with characteristic small berries.

The 2003 vintage was dry to say the least, with NSW facing the
most extreme and widespread drought in 100 years. Whilst this
has been tough for the family's sheep stud business - the vineyard
has thrived.
